All are excellent, but I like the revolutionary yet fun and playable Burnout Paradise best.

= Burnout 1: The original game, and more realistic than most other Burnout games as far as the amount of traffic is concerned. As a result it's also the hardest

= Burnout 2: Expanded the concept of the original and made it more playable and rewarding with frequent unlocks. Tracks were more imaginative and also were all connected to and referenced each other (you could go on Interstate 88 and see signs directing cars to Big Surf and Palm Bay).

= Burnout 3: Bigger budget. A lot more of a polished game, immense amount of cars, and introduced actual vehicular violence and combat as opposed to just driving dangerously in the first two. Also had WAY more Crash Junctions than Burnout 2 had.

= Burnout Legends: Very good port of B3 with some extra content thrown in for good measure like Burnout 2 cars and tracks. You had to redo everything you did from 3, but 3 was so good it's hardly a pain to do it again in Legends.

= Burnout Revenge: Took what Burnout 3 had, doused it in gasoline and ignited it with a flamethrower. Perhaps the more derivative of Burnout games, with a ridiculous amount of of explosions and a more gritty look to the levels. Less cars, but a base level of cars performed and looked better and better as the game went on.

= Burnout Dominator: A more basic game, and a mix of Burnout 2, 3 and Revenge sensibilities. Boost Chaining returns to make racing more rewarding, and the Maniac mode focuses on the original driving skill B1 and 2 had, as opposed to the "Takedown and win" formula of 3 and Revenge.

= Burnout Paradise: Completely open world, much better crash physics with proper distortion of metal and driveaways, and fantastic support from Criterion as far as bug fixing, gameplay enhancement, and DLC goes. Also one of the best multiplayer experiences in any Burnout, and a good mix of old and new vehicles.
