What were your thoughts on the music in Burnout 3: Takedown?

I thought that some was okay. But a lot of it I did not like.

It didnt cut away from the gaming experience, but i also have to say that i think it would be A LOT better if EA made a soundtrack for Burnout with all types of genres for the people who dont have Xbox. Techno/House/Trance is a must in this game :D :D

Well, there were a few songs I enjoyed (Ramones, mainly), and other than that I didn't really like the soundtrack. I'll defintely second the techno suggestion for Burnout Revenge. That would be pretty cool.

i personally thought the soundtrack sucked, none of the music really appeled to me. i would have prefered if they made a custom soundtrack like in the previous versions of burnout,,, i loved the interactive music from B02.. and was hoping they were going to do a similar thing with B03.

I'd have to agree with SilentRACER, the double-track thing they had going in Burnout 2 was awesome, the music would be playing along in the background like nothing, then when you kicked in the boost, it would switch to the second track which would usually add some awesome guitar sounds along with raise the volume a bit.

Also, funny to see you on here Silent, my gamertag is Burnout 128, I'm sure you probably remember me, I'll be seeing you kicking your ass in Revenge! lol

I third the techno... specialy some really raw breakbeat from europe and agressive hardhouse from a few of the talented deep underground american as well as european producers... then again they could scrap both out the window and just buy their way into a contract with me and ill give em enough music for 3 games :smart:

on the music in takedown... at first, but when i caught myself singing "come on come on ya heard what i said" over and over again i realized it had got me at least enough to do that so i gotta admit it aint so bad...

generaly my view on punk and metal is that it's too listener dependant when it comes to what sub-sub-genre's people like so to just play nothin but punk would take more customization in my opinion... but hey who am i to complain? after all they did give me the option to turn down the music and just keep the sound fx (which is usualy what i do, and then just throw a record on on the sterio at the same time)
