I have it, and I think it's hugely disappointing. Hard to believe this is the same Criterion (it is, isn't it?).

I've had several visual and audio glitches (the first in a Criterion title that I've seen), and I think it looks worse than Revenge.

I find it too hard to judge upcoming turns, and it's also too difficult to make out oncoming traffic. The tracks are OK but they don't have distinct identities - they all feel the same.

It's still good, especially Maniac Mode, but I think it's by far the least accomplished of the series, and I've been a fan since the original.

I agree, this is the first time the burnout game doesn't have a crash mode since the second one came out. Still a good game to get and it starts off at 40 bucks plus tax. I'm a big burnout fan since the third one came out and it surprised me with the graphics, takedown cars, and a different company, EA (when Burnout 3 came out). I don't like Acclaim that much on the first two games. Graphics on those games are bad, but Burnout 3, Revenge and Dominator changed a lot about the graphics and the features. Why did the burnout creators changed Acclaim to EA in the Burnout series? Just a question.

Acclaim Entertainment only published the original Burnout and Burnout 2 but they went bankrupt in '04 (The current Acclaim is run by a different person who brought the name) Criterion were still responsible for creating the first two games.
Criterion was brought by EA in 2004 though so EA now own the Burnout franchise and Criterion Game. I'm not too sure how related Acclaims bankruptcy and Criterion's acquisition by EA are, but they did happen around the same time so I wouldn't be surprised if they were related.

it's a blatant stop gap for burnout 5 which is out in November. It's only on PS2 and PSP, the PSP is a direct port. it's a teaser to drive the burnout name and to ge tit hyped so when the big one comes out on 360 and PS3 it sells better.

It's fun and it's still got the satifaction level, it's just not as good as the others.

Criterion did not develop Burnout Dominator, they are too busy working on Burnout 5.

Burnout Dominator was developed by EA Studios in Guildford.

Criterion Developed the following games:
Burnout, Burnout 2 point of impact, Burnout 3 Takedown, Burnout Revenge, Black and I believe they did Burnout Legends on the PSP but they did NOT do the DS port and they did NOT do Dominator.

So, If there are any faults with Dominator, Blame EA and NOT Criterion.

I am hoping to pick up Dominator on the PSP this weekend as it is released in the UK tomorrow. I hope I like it!

EA studios in Guildford and Criterion are one and the same...

Electronic Arts (Nasdaq: ERTS) announced an agreement to acquire Criterion Software Group from Canon Europe. With the acquisition, EA will assume Criterion's studio in Guildford, UK; two intellectual properties, Burnout and Black; and the RenderWare middleware technology.

I thought Burnout Dominator wasn't bad, the only thing was it was hard to make out the traffic from a distance.

Yes EA own Criterion, and Criterion are based in Guildford. But that does not mean Criterion develped Dominator.

Dominator is NOT a Criterion Game.

Its also been delayed on the PSP until 6/4/07 so I haven't got it yet.

Ok, So it's developed in the UK, and you get it later than everyone else? Unless your getting an improved version... That Hardly Seems fair...

Burnout Dominator didn't get much hype as I thought it would, it's kinda sad actually... :(
