I don't own the game, but I have rented it, and man is it great, seems retro though without crash mode.

That was the idea when they made it.

I have it! It.. puts the series to shame IMO. The graphics are really bad. (i have the PS2 version) Having to dodge traffic at 200MPH and having cars appear in front of you isn't fun. It has some good track design and some really good game modes, some of which you really have to try hard to get gold in.
But the graphics let it down at the end of the day, I played Revenge after I played this and Revenge beats it on all accounts.

Bold part - That's what you have to do in Paradise.

The graphics weren't that bad, they were no better or worst then Revenge, but remember they made this game over night.

Yeah but with Paradise it only happens online so there is a bit of an excuse. Dominator which is offline only would have the same things happening which is even worse.

Come to think of it I don't remember cars appearing in front of me in Dominator.

I mean that the distance you can see them coming is about zero, Im forced to drive virtually on the walls, for fear of not being able to see what's coming, which loses me oncoming bonus and my boost chain. The quality of the cars looks fuzzy and look like boxes.
They whipped it up overnight, that's called EA trying to earn more money out of Criterions ideas. *coughs*Anthology?*coughs*
In Revenge, I hardly crash, I can see what's coming, I can plan ahead and figure out the right line to take, I get perfect laps a lot of time.

In Paradise, the graphics quality is so good I can always look ahead and plan where I will turn (driving lessons taught me good)
