Q. How do I download it from my PC/Laptop?
A. You'll have to put it onto a USB device in the following directories. Storage Device -> PS3 -> THEME -> Burnout Paradise.p3t
Then on your PS3 go to Settings -> Theme Settings -> Theme -> Install
Q. Can I download it directly to my PS3?
A. Yes you can, just click on the image at the top of the post.
Q. How do I create a theme of my own?
A.If you want to create your very own PS3 Theme, be it of Burnout or anything else then read on and I'll tell you how.
What do you need?
PS3ThemeBuilder v2.5 from here
A graphics editing program would also be very useful.
Install PS3ThemeBuilder v2.5 and then install the update. Once done to use the program simply open the file called 'PS3ThemeManager'
This will then load up the interface that will allow you to create your theme.
What do we have here?
At the top for the Toolbar Menu Options we have File and Help.
The Tabs are what is important.
Theme Icon & Author Icon are the 2 small pictures you see when you go to Themes in the XMB.
Language, just leave it what it's set to.
Text Entry areas, it is up to you what you put in those.
Generate Preview, this give you a look at how your theme will look. Test Drive is a much better option though.
Icons, Colors, Fonts
This is pretty straight forward, you have Main Menu Icons at the top and Sub-Menu Icons below.
Choose the option you want to add a picture to and click Browse.
This bit confussed me a little the first time.
Firstly HD backgrounds are 1920x1080 and SD are 640x480 you need to have both HD and SD pictures for it to build the theme.
Click 'Add a New Background Set' and then browse for HD Background and SD Background.
You don't need to create a Set for HD and SD and they both fall into one set.
This is where you can add sounds to your theme.
Download MFAudio v1.1 from here
You can only convert from .wma format so convert it from whatever format you're Audio file is to WMA.
Unzip and run MFAudio.exe
Click Open and choose the audio file.
At the bottom half of the window in the Output Audio file section choose VAG from the drop down menu, click Save As, name i and then click on Proceed.
This is a great little feature that allows you to see what your theme looks like.
When you are happy or just want to do a test run on your own PS3 click this option. A command prompt box will appear and it will convert all your image files to gim and create the p3t file which is your Theme.
