I was playing paradise on my 360(i have a silver(free) account)And noticed an ad for a rollercoaster at paramount's carowinds theme/amusement park here in NC(the Carolina cobra coaster to be exact).I doubt that they would be worried about advertising that on the west coast or in Europe(As most visitors are from Charlotte). Have you guys seen any ads for some local attraction in your area.Or am i just seeing things  .

Its just EA and different countries laws. For instance the "theme park" ad is on the American one because paramount paid for the ad to be shown in America while in the UK we see "burnout related" ads instead unless your on PC in which case you see some ads for the Kia Soul.

An early example of an "America only" ad

360 ads are different from PSN ads. PSN ads are updated only when a patch for the game comes out. 360 ads can be updated periodically between updates -- and while I don't know for certain it's possible, I wouldn't be surprised if they update them regionally.

For example, the 360 is the only platform that had ads for Obama during the campaign, as I understand (by the time I got it, the campaign was over, so this is second-hand information). I doubt players in Europe saw those ads, but I don't know for sure -- anybody else know?

Ads only come in patches/updates because they are textures that need to be applied or replaced by other textures.

For instance I had a patch every week for Need For Speed: Carbon and every time the ads changed. This also happened in Forza 2.

And ads are region dependant. You wouldn't have a Wal-mart advert in the UK nor a Tesco advert in the USA.

I remember seeing some ads for deodorant and my friends couldn't see them. Maybe these new billboards were so they didn't need to have to change them.
