I started to think, how many of you have got the first Burnout?

I am yet to get it. I hope to buy it before Burnout: Revenge comes out. Have a good play on it then move onto Revenge.

You?

Agree, the crashreplay in Bo1 is really fun. Anyway, I got this game when I got my GC and I've been playing it a lot. Been the fastest overall in time attack on many sites untill a guy called flamingfejjery started playing much again. ;) Scopinfo.com and cyberscore.net is the two main sites I've been competing on.
I would really like to see more people start competing in Bo1, so if someone wants to join it'll be great!

I always seem to forget about the Game cube when talking about Burnout. Is there much difference between that and the PS2 and X-Box version?

I don?t have Burnout so cant challenge you, though i would if i had the game :P

Well, in Bo1 there's a difference if you're driving with manual or auto shifting (you can drive much faster with manual). I don't think it's much difference on the GC from the other consols expect that thing about the PS2 being slower, though I've never experienced that since most of the top players plays on GC or Xbox (that might be the reason why they do ;) )

I always get the games on the GC if possible, if not possible I need to get another consol like I did when Bo3 got here. I had it first on the PS2 and then I exchanged the PS2 with an Xbox and got Bo3 on that one also.

You should really consider getting Bo1, just so you have it. Allways great to own every game in a serie. :)

I've got Burnout twice, I had is for the PS2 for ages but decided to get the GC version as the PS2 pad hurts my thumb when I'm playing for long periods on driving games.

I own all of them. The first one was OK, it only had five cars or so but the rest were good.

REAL Burnout fans would have played them all, and would know all about the US Marathon with Survival Rules on.

The Gamecube versions were particularly excellent and pushed the hardware very very hard. And we did steering wheel support, Dolby headphone -which was cool at the time - and proper widescreen and progressive scan 480p - which few teams did back in 2001 and 2002.

Burnout 1 was kind of fun. But it was there first title so of course it wasn't that great! While Burnout 2 was a huge improvement, with more cars, nicer tracks and better music. :)
